Template for API Score Sheet for UGC Librarians in Aided Colleges under University of Kerala

 Preliminary Minutes of the 9th Meeting of the Syndicate held on 21.01.2020

Item No. 09.22.21 : UGC Librarian in Aided Colleges - Template for API Score Sheet for UGC Librarians – Request -reg.   (Ac.FII/18832/2019)

The Secretary, CALIBR and Smt. Chitra S, Librarian, St.Joseph’s College for Women, Alappuzha informed that there is no approved format of API Score Sheet for college Librarians for CAS Promotions and they requested to bring out API Score Sheet for UGC Librarians in colleges. It may be noted that Selection procedures for Direct Recuitment and CAS Promotion of teachers and other academic staff in Universities and colleges are specified in clause 5.0.0 of UGC Regulations 2010. The University has no role in the approval of appointment of Librarians in Aided Colleges or their placement/ promotion under CAS, other than providing subject experts for constituting Selection Committee or Screening Committee. The approval of appointment and Placement / Promotion of Non Teaching Staff including Librarians come under the purview of Deputy Director of Collegiate Education concerned. Hence no separate templates of API Scores has been divised for CAS Promotion / Appointments of Librarians in Aided Colleges under the jurisdiction of Kerala University. However, the API Templates for the CAS promotion of UGC Librarians in University Departments was issued by the University vide U.O No. Ac.D/UGC – 2010/AL dated 07.11.2018.

The Vice Chancellor has ordered to place the matter before the Standing Committee of the Syndicate on Teaching and Non Teaching Staff of Private Colleges. In the light of the above mentioned facts, the request made by the Secretary, CALIBR and Smt. Chitra S, Librarian, St. Joseph’s College for Women, Alappuzha is placed before the Standing Committee of the Syndicate on Teaching and Non Teaching Staff of Private Colleges for consideration and recommendations. 

The Standing Committee considered the proposal and recommended to seek remarks from the Higher Education Department. 

Resolution of the Syndicate 

RESOLVED that the item be referred to the Combined Meeting of the Standing Committees of the Syndicate on Academics and Research & Teaching and Non Teaching Staff of Private Colleges.

 Hello Team RetractionWatch, I would like to report a case of a journal named "African Journal of Biological Sciences".  The journal is index in Scopus at  https://www.scopus.com/ sourceid/21101106407 Scopus does not mention a homepage for the journal nor given a link to the journal. Scopus has calculated CiteScore 2023 as 0.8. All the articles of the journal are indexed in Scopus. It is interesting to note that all the text on the homepage "About the Journal" and "Journal Policies" are images.
