Part V - Amendments made to the Kerala University First Ordinances 1978

Amendment No. 195

“That, in the Schedule given to Ordinances 3 of Chapter XVII of the Kerala University First Ordinances, 1978, the entry under columns 2-Designation against Sl. No. 86, the entries under columns 5 & 6 ‘Qualifications-General, Technical’-against Sl. Nos. 84, 85 and 86, the entries under column 7-’Method of Recruitment’ against Sl. Nos. 85 & 86 and all entries, against, Sl. No. 87, under the heading ‘University Library’ be deleted and the following be substituted:-



Master’s degree in Library Sciences/ Information Sciences/Documentation or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale plus a consistently good academic record, Computerization of Library.

The above amendment to the Oridnances was laid before the Syndicate (with the powers of the Senate as envisaged under Section 23 A of the Kerala University Act, 1974) at its meeting held on 16-7- 2005, as required under Section 37 (1) of the Kerala University Act, 1974.
